Bill Maher With A New Eco-friendly Rant
Posted by: | Comments
Late night political talk show host and comedian Bill Maher is nothing if not opinionated. On his hit HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, he spoke extensively about a new eco-friendly solution that proves that climate change is real and it needs to be dealt with. This new eco-friendly solution does not use any electricity and needs only minimal maintenance save for the occasional check-up. An added bonus is that almost everyone has all the tools they need to use it. So what is this new eco-friendly solution that can track and demonstrate climate change? Opening your EYES. Yes, that’s right, open your eyes and look around you. An all natural, no cost, no fuss, eco-friendly solution.
Maher felt that all one needs to do is to open their eyes and look around them to be able to identify the problem with climate change and (hopefully) be motivated to do something about it.

It is no secret that Hollywood wants to give the perception of making eco-friendly choices and being green. Entourage, is a hit HBO show that follow the lives of movie star Vincent Chase and his posse – brother Johnny and friends E and Turtle.
The sixth season that started in July and was back in fine form following its main character on an upswing in his career. The episode centered on Vince trying to get his driver license though he is in his thirties. What I found a little surprising is that the episode featured all luxury SUV’s and gas guzzling sports cars. It seems ironic that the tag line for season six is “life changes, friends don’t”. If the boys are growing up than they may want to start showing a different side of them – a more environmentally aware side. Have them make eco-friendly choices rather than ones based on prestige or status.
If Entourage is supposed to hold a mirror up and go behind the scenes of Hollywood life why aren’t the eco friendly choices that are championed by stars not be a part of it? Now, maybe later in the season something will change, but perhaps those that chose the vehicles showcased in the episode could have made more eco-friendly choices? Even, if a Prius or other hybrid were not in character for Vince and his cronies, maybe one of the other cars in the scene could have been one.

Hot on the heels of Kelly Ripa’s garden confession, another surprising celebrity gardener has come out of the gardening closet. Adrian Grenier, star of HBO’s Entourage and the show Alter Eco, has taken living a greener lifestyle to another level and has recently discovered the joys of having an ecofriendly garden.
Grenier is espousing the joys of having an ecofriendly garden on the talk show circuit as he promotes the sixth season of his Emmy award winning HBO show. Grenier grows crops like squash, tomatoes and corn in his California garden, which he refers to as victory garden. Victory garden is an old term from the WWI & II era war effort that encouraged private gardens as means of sustenance.
