Whether you are an avid environmentalist or are just trying to find a few easy ways to reduce your carbon footprint, the Radius Source toothbrush is for you.  There are many earth friendly ideas and products available but the Radius Source toothbrush is one of the most interesting and innovative. Even your teeth can be green (in a good way).

Radius makes various dental care products, but it is their Source line that is making ecofriendly headway. These toothbrushes are considered green because the “Source handles are molded from recycled US Dollar bills [or] Recycled Flax [or]Recycled Wood, [which is then] all blended with recycled polypropylene resulting in a bio-plastic that is 100% renewable or recycled”. The product is made from 50% ecofriendly products because “3% [of the material in the product is] Recycled [and] 47% [comes from] Renewable Resources”. This toothbrush is one of those great green ideas because the product is “reversible for both right and left handed brushing [as they have ergonomically correct handles]. [The product is, also] available in soft or medium [firm] bristles. [The best part is that the] handle lasts forever [because] the head can be discarded as you would a razor blade!”

Although The Source toothbrush is manual, it is similar to the electric version in that one can replace the head but keep the handle of the brush, thus cutting down what ends up in landfills.

The product is available for sale at Whole Foods Market, in the United States and Canada, and can also be purchased on their website. This just goes to show that earth friendly ideas that are little unconventional, like making toothbrushes out of recycled money, can untimely help reduce your carbon footprint and have a positive environmental impact.
