Eco Company TV Show Educates and Inspires Youth
Posted by: | CommentsIt is imperative that teens understand the impact they can have on creating a greener future. That is where Eco Company comes into play. Eco Company is a TV show that highlights environmental issues and works to inspire kids and teens to get involved. Whether it’s renewable energy or recycling or organic processing, the Eco Company TV show covers a variety of environmental subjects to help improve the long-term sustainability of our planet.
Eco Company showcases the latest in eco technology and educates about what is going on in the world. They achieve this in an accessible way by having a dynamic and diverse group of teens that are passionate about the issues they are discussing. The show highlights and does individual profiles on teens and young adults who are involved in green issues and are making a difference. They explore issues from internships with green employers to those doing green community service. Eco Company is also a platform to shine a light on organizations, schools, companies, and community groups that are making a positive impact on the environment.
“Eco Company airs in markets all across the country (USA). Find out which local station airs the show in your area and tune in! Each week Eco Company explores all aspects of being green and understanding how we impact our world. The E-Co Team reports on the latest developments in renewable energies and alternative fuels. They explore organic processes and learn how conservation and recycling can have an impact on reducing our carbon footprint.”
In the end, the show is all about promoting people who are actively trying to make a difference to the environment around them. This type of programming helps to inspire other children and teens to get involved and perhaps implement some of these community projects in their area or open them up to thinking about entirely different career paths. No matter what the impact, Eco Company is proving that teens and young adults can and are making an impact on the world around them. Plus, they give viable tips for how to make everyday life a little greener and sustainable in simple ways. It is important that these issues get screen time and as it is a way to convey new ideas and information to those who might not be up-to-date on them. Kudos to Eco Company for making these important environmental issues accessible to a new generation.

David Letterman – An Eco-friendly Television Pioneer
Posted by: | Comments
Late night talk show host and comic, David Letterman has been put under siege of late but we want to focus on things that actually matter first. Letterman, in addition to being a great talent is also somewhat of an eco-friendly television pioneer having made a commitment to producing eco-friendly television programming through his production company World Wide Pants.
World Wide Pants, which produces The Late Show with David Letterman, partnered last year with EcoMedia. Rob Burnett, president and CEO of Worldwide Pants said that they “are extremely excited to partner with EcoMedia and look forward to creating [eco-friendly television]/entertainment that will hopefully not only be funny, but will also move viewers toward better, more sustainable practices in everyday life”. We commend Dave and World Wide Pants for their commitment to the planet. We hope more production companies follow their lead.
Now I suppose we have to address the hype. Unless you have been under a rock and that rock does not have wifi, you probably heard about the plot to extort two million dollars out of Letterman. David himself boldly broke the story, with his trademark wit and humor. Since then, the media have been circling everyone connected to World Wide Pants like vultures in the desert. Dave, ever-protective of is privacy has now overtaken fame-mongers Jon and Kate as the lead story on TV, newspapers, and the ever-important blogosphere. On top of that, the speculation and salacious insinuations have pulled news magazines like The Insider down to a new low. If you saw The Insider’s Michel Jackson coverage, you’ll know that is saying something.
