What Walmart Teaches Us about CSR
Giant retailer Walmart, employing over 1.5 million people worldwide, is teaching the corporations that change is possible with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.  “Walmart is making sincere efforts to lessen the company’s impact on the planet, from reducing packaging to leaps in energy efficiency in stores and in its trucking fleet, all the way to greening its supply chain.”

10 ingenious three wheeled vehicles that run on electric engines
We’ve all seen the 4-wheel electric vehicles (EV) in the market today, but believe it or not, there are 3-wheel models that look incredibly futuristic beyond being eco-friendly.  These electric, emissions-free vehicles, will get you from point A to B in carbon neutral style.

From Australia to Costa Rica to the Amazon, the folks at ecorazzi have come up with a great list of eco-friendly resorts right in the rainforest.  With luxury accommodations and speculator views, those seeking a green travel experience should check out this list.

DoSomething.org, Best Buy, Energy Star Partner With Teens
Teenagers are getting involved this fall to help minimize e-waste.  “DoSomething.org, Best Buy and the EPA’s Energy Star program are teaming up to help young people run local e-waste collection drives in their schools, homes or communities and to drop off the collected e-waste at their local Best Buy store.”

50 Cent Aims to Feed a Billion Kids
Here’s another wonderful act of social responsibility from the world of music.  50 Cent has partnered with Chris Clarke and Pure Growth Partners to launch a new energy shot (carb-free, calorie-free and sugar-free) called Street King.  With the purchase of each energy shot, the company will provide a meal to a child in need. The plan over the next five years is to feed 1 billion children.  “I’m inspired by [Clarke’s] vision and innovative approaches to tackling serious issues. It’s our mission with Street King to really change children’s lives around the world,” says Fiddy.

Joysxee Eco Island Floats on Recycled Plastic Bottles
That’s right, many people are still not using reusable bottles, so the plastic bottle ‘empties’ are still in vast abundance.  Well, now those empty plastic bottles have been recycled to create a floating island.  Creator Richart Sowa collected over 125,000 plastic bottles and created his own floating island paradise, Equipped with solar panels and a composting toilet, his recycled island is made of 70 percent recycled materials, soon to be 100% sustainable, all in a lagoon in the bay of Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
