The Green MacGyver says it’s time to reuse again with another fun and simple eco friendly craft for kids. Welcome to Box Town. Your kids create their own town by reusing and decorating boxes from your home. With a bit of help from you, your child can make a toy with your old cardboard containers!

You’ll Need:
- Cardboard boxes, cereal boxes, cartons, etc.
- Tissue Paper Tubes
- Glue
- Scissors
- Colored Construction paper
- Crayons or markers
Directions:
- Cover boxes and cartons with colored construction paper (reuse square or rectangle boxes for buildings and milk cartons for houses)
- Adults can help cut out windows, doorways and tunnels if desired, or to keep it simple just color in windows, doors, balcony’s and flower boxes to decorate
- Want a chimney? Cut a tissue tube in half or leave it whole and glue it to the top of a building or house.
To make trees:
- Use a tissue paper tube for the trunk
- Draw a cloud shapes on green construction paper for the leaf canopy and cut it out
- Color in apples or berries to add another dimension to your tree
- Glue the green canopy to the tube
This eco friendly craft for kids is easy, amusing and promotes resourcefulness. Encourage their creativity and let their imagination run wild. When you’re done, your child will have built a box town ready for unlimited play!!
