Ban Bottled Water And Choose Stainless Steel Bottles

Common Sense Revolution Towards Stainless Steel Bottlessilver-1l-sport-cap1

Why drink from plastic bottles and risk toxins leaching into your beverage when sustainable stainless steel bottles are toxin-free?  What about the monetary and carbon costs to you and the planet to create that plastic bottle of water for you?  And now, it typically costs over a dollar to get one 500ml bottle of water.  And here’s the kicker, only 3 out of 10 plastic bottles get recycled.  That’s 70% going to landfills and then waiting 450-1000 years to biodegrade.  The numbers are staggering.  It’s time to say no to bottled water and choose a stainless steel bottle filled with tap water from home.

I may be revealing my age, but as a child of the 1970’s I know that bottled water was not accessible like it is today.  I believe only Evian was available back then for about $4 a bottle and I remember joking about how foolish it was to actually pay for water when it’s free at home.

In 2009, it’s bottled water anarchy as consumers now spend more on bottled water than they do on Coke and Pepsi.  How did this happen?  When did we start believing that our tap water just didn’t taste good anymore?  Do you really need to give Pepsi $1.50 for a bottle of Aquafina?  After all, it’s advertised as filtered tap water and last time I checked, Pepsi was still a viable business long before they sold bottled water.  Oh, and did you know that bottled water is more expensive than gasoline and it isn’t regulated the way tap water is?   A stainless steel bottle is sustainable, reusable, recyclable, eco-friendly and with repeated use, you’ve not only saved plenty of money by banning plastic water bottles but you’ve helped protect the planet.

It’s time to for a common sense revolution to take back the tap and start trusting the tap water that western civilization takes for granted.  Clean, safe drinking water is a basic human right here and there’s no reason to add to your carbon footprint as a consumer by continuing to buy bottled water.  So, the next time you’re headed out and think you might get thirsty for water, head to your kitchen sink and fill up your stainless steel bottle instead.

Lay off bottled water, what about the resources used to make your stainless steel bottle, all the heating, formation, design, marketing, etc etc etc.
People hate tap water, that’s why they buy filtered water.
And don’t say, you can filter tap water, why should we if it is so good.
If people want bottled water, let that be.
You should be educating them what to do with the bottle instead.
The issue is human issue not bottled water issue.
I love bottled water, I recycle after I drink my bootle.
I would never drink tap water. You CAN”T FORCE PEOPLE to drink what you want.
Governments wants us to drink tap water because it is fluoridated which keep people docile especially in tough economic times, that’s their agenda.
And isn’t the best thing that people are drinking water instead of toxic, unhealthy soda drink, that is one of the best thing that can happen.
Imagine how healthier we would be without soda and energy drinks and without all the chemicals in our water.
GO BOTTLED WATER!!!

Wow Evelyin, do you work for Coke or Pepsi? You must drive a Hummer, crank the air conditioning in summer and leave all the lights on. The average person buys over 160 water bottles a year - so if you think producing and shipping those doesn’t cost the environment dearly then you are naive. One stainless steel bottle can last for years. And then you go on to say why should you filter your tap water? I guess it’s better to pay Coke and Pepsi for their filtered tap water. God forbid those tiny companies lose any revenue from bottled water. I guess your justification is that you recycle, which still puts you in the minority for bottled water drinkers. I wonder how people even survived decades ago with all that government conspiracy to keep you docile through fluoride in tap water. There was a time where tap water was the only option. And there’s many people living in places in the world where tap water would be considered both a blessing and a miracle. To each his own - you continue to spend $200 every year on your plastic bottle of filtered tap water and I’ll choose common sense with my stainless steel bottle and fill up at home.

GO STAINLESS STEEL BOTTLES!!!!
